JOB SATISFACTION 2, from my original colored pencil "painting", by Kathy S Crockett

I was lucky enough this winter to spend some time on gorgeous St. Lucia. While there, I met a talented wood carver by the name of Barthelmy Auguste, who was kind enough to allow me to make this "painting" of him at work. (You can see more of his work on Facebook.) I loved the challenge of capturing all the different woods in his workspace. My original "painting" was 16"x20".

Thank you Lorena! I especially loved replicating all the textures in this piece! From his shirt and gorgeous hands to the different woods, and bricks... it was my first time realizing how much each element in a drawing deserves the attention of the star of the piece.
