Back in late August I did a backpacking trip in the Wind River Range with one of my best friends. We had made it to Island Lake and took a pretty easy rest day after grinding out some long miles in the days before... right at sunset, storms rolled in and added dramatic clouds, but I was worried the setting sun wouldn't be able to poke through.
At the last minute beautiful golden light broke through and struck Fremont Peak and the surrounding area while our dramatic clouds remained. It was the perfect cap to an amazing day in an iconic place! Please feel free to share and let me know what you think!
