Description
This unique iris flower has a texture developed by Ruth Collis called Peel Painting, where you press paint between two surfaces, then peel apart to reveal two paintings. The clone is then turned into something uniquely different. It is normally used with an abstract style, but Ruth thought to try to replicate the little tiny veins found in an iris flower, by using this Peel technique, and as a result, this piece turned out fairly well and also by removing the grass paint with a certain surface, it revealed another fascinating texture to be replicated again. Dry-brushing technique around the edges made the flower stand out nicely, in quiet a different contrast from it's swirly clone partner. A normal Peel Painting is made in about a few seconds.
