Iridescent Spider Silk-bands Illuminated By The Sun

Description
Early morning, I photographed these enigmatic, iridescent spider silk-bands, illuminated by the sun.
These bands arise from light diffraction, instead of scattered light. Incident light waves are diffracted in different colors due to the particular intrinsic structure of the silk. The spider silk consists of quasi-periodic arrays of diffracting sticky centres, often of different sizes. Thus, these centers will diffract the light according to they physical parametres giving color-dependent light interference. Note that the deliberated out-of-phocus silks show better diffracting light-banding. Additionally, note that this is not a spiral orb web and could be a sheet web.

Thank very much, my dear VIVA. I very much appreciate your insights. This spider web is not a spiral orb web, most commonly noticed, but, it looks like it could be a sheet web.
