Another view of the cloisters surrounding the quadrangle of Iona Abbey. Most day visitors to the Isle of Iona may not get a huge amount of time on the island, given that it is two ferry rides away from the mainland in Oban. On this occasion, though, we stayed the night so that meant we were afforded much more time to fully explore this very historic Scottish landmark. The low light meant that hand held images were difficult, hence the deep shadows – but I think that it actually works here. Iona, Scotland, 2018.
