I don't ever create based on violence or hatred but after hearing the testimony of our Capitol Police officers related to the January 6 attack on or Constitutional Government by a mob of insurrectionists I had to express my frustration with the crazy people who felt it was ok to attempt to overthrow the constitutional duty of certification.....and there was so much hatred expressed by this mob in a misguided effort to subvert Democracy. This is my emotional response to this terrible day and these terrible traitors to democracy. Multiple publicly available images were used in this fused work. I didn't include specific images of the assault on the police because that would have been gratuitous so I put this work out for people to think....really think......about what transpired on that day and whether it was the right thing to do. I expect some negative thoughts about my artistic expression and that is ok. If it causes some of you to re-evaluate your ideas on what it means to be an American....then good is accomplished.
