My biggest artistic influence is, without doubt, Monet. His ability to capture the feeling of a garden is unequaled. I was lucky enough some years ago to visit his garden in Giverney and it was like standing in one of his paintings. Like Monet, I'm a passionate lover of flowers and gardens - for me they are the most peaceful and beautiful places to while away the hours,
In this piece I've tried to capture some of that sense of beauty that being in a garden brings. Of light and colour and scent. Where the colours and textures create a living work of art.
This artwork was created digitally using a variety of techniques but essentially is similar to painting with a brush on canvas. Just done on a screen with pixels.
