Description
A string of summer evening thunderstorms had just passed through Linden, Virginia, and as the sun sank toward the horizon, low clouds rolled in over Blue Mountain, where I captured a simple shot across the fields, looking through the mist and fog that were backlit by the setting sun. I decided to create a version of this image that played up the dreamlike quality of the scene, and through a series of filters and effects, I came up with this painterly, slightly abstracted composition of light, texture and soft color that would make a quiet but compelling piece of art for home or office.
