Description
A super full moon coincides with the high tide and Salem harbor rises over the sides of Derby Wharf. The Lighthouse built in 1871 is under the care of the National Park service. The fact is that they are unable to quickly deal with the rising ocean levels. the mortar on a corner of the lighthouse has started to weaken and 6-8 bricks have come loose. I'm hoping this summer the NPS will repoint the bricks and delay the inevitable of the loss of the lighthouse or worse yet, the loss of Derby Wharf itself.
