Description
This old mantel clock sat for years on a shelf in my grandmother's house in southern Mississippi... it's slightly off-key metallic "gong" is part of my childhood memory of our visits there. It now sits in my family room, and here, it's illuminated by the setting sun. Up close, you can see the years on its face... slightly worn, peeling a little in places, somewhat faded... the decorative detail on the pendulum and the etched leaf design on the front glass add to the interest. A burnished overlay further adds to the vintage vibe.
