Green Heron Landing
This Green Heron flew from one perch on a piece of wood at Delta Ponds in Eugene, Oregon, to another piece of wood, closer to me! I liked this pose of his as he landed. Green Herons are one of the few birds to use tools to catch prey. They can drop small insects or bread to attract fish to eat.
