Start Each Day with a Grateful Heart. I find it comforting to start each day with 3 things I am grateful for. It helps sooth any uneasiness I may feel about our world during these turbulent times where fear is becoming a norm.
We all have our share of ups and downs and life is always evolving. I was a nurse for 32 years and loved my career. I felt it was a calling. I never planned that I would have to leave a profession I loved so much way sooner than I desired. I had it all planned out. I would work until I was 67, then I would cut down to part time and then do some volunteer work. I thought I would be a nurse for as long as I could. We never know what life is going to deal us. I have not been able to work for the last two and a half years. I went from working 50 + hours a week to being at home in physical pain and staying home most of the time became my norm. I'm still trying to adjust to this change and it is not easy. I still grieve. Change is often very difficult at times and the winds of change are upon us now like we have never seen. I am grateful for life in this moment. I am grateful for being able to create art that helps soothe my soul. I am grateful for finding something everyday to make me smile. All problems, all chaos, all turmoil in life is temporary. Problems resolve and this too shall pass. It will test our core and put our coping skills to the test. We will get through this. Reach out to each other. Check in on each other and above all, be kind and love one another as love helps to heal. Be safe and well.

I try my best to keep my inner peace, but it is hard not to notice what is going on around us and how can we not think about where we are headed? Sometimes, I really feel anxious about this and we really need some relief. I pray with all my heart it comes soon!
