Giant Panda primarily live in southwest China, where they survive almost entirely on bamboo-- 25 to 80 pounds of it a day! Older panda bears spend most of their time eating or sleeping, while the younger ones like to play. Threats to pandas include loss of forest habitat and infrastructure development (dams, roads railways, etc), which fragment panda populations, preventing them from finding enough bamboo and mates.
