Title
Flatiron Flats - Eureka Springs
Artist
Jeffrey Kolker
Medium
Painting - Digital Painting
Description
The most photographed building in Eureka Springs, and perhaps the most photographed building in all of Arkansas, the Flatiron Flats building sits at the corner of Center and Spring streets in downtown Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
It's distictive shape is akin to Flatiron buildings all across the world. While this building certainly fits architecurally with the rest of the design of Eureka Springs, this version of the Flatiron was built in 1987. The first one burned to the ground in 1890, the second in 1925. After that, there was not much on the corner, most of the time it was just a vacant lot.
