Description
The Finless Porpoise is the only porpoise that lacks a true dorsal fin. They are found in coastal waters off Asia, especially around Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, India & Bangladesh. It’s said that Yangtze Finless Porpoise leap from the water and do “tail stands”. I’ve spent a little time on the Yangtze River and never saw a porpoise. Not surprising, since these are critically endangered. Part of the 100 WILD ANIMAL MINI-PRINTS series.
