Description
"Wonder Woman" was a TV series, starring Lynda Carter, which aired 59 episodes for three seasons from 1976 to 1979.
It is based on the DC Comics character set in World War 2. ABC aired the show the first season with the appropriate 1940's setting. But that markedly added to the cost, and they cancelled the program.
CBS picked "Wonder Woman" up in 1977 but set it up in the then present day.

The former Miss World USA Lynda Carter was chosen after an intensive talent search. She played both the lead character and her alter ego Diana Prince.
Shortly before the show's demise, Carter told "US" magazine that it was upsetting that the popular poster of her "would be tacked up in men's rooms. I hate men looking at me and thinking what they think. They write and tell me."
Actually men's rooms were a class act compared to this outhouse setting in rural North Carolina.
