Sometimes in life our emotions are so strong and intense that we feel like they will explode out of us. That is what this pastel is about. As the person is gripped by the deep blue of depression, swirls of intense emotional pain (signified by the fuschia) and purple hurt caused by abuse builds in strength within him. As the intensity of these feelings and emotions increases, anger and frustration builds in intensity also. Anger many times is just a shield shown to others to hide deeper and more painful feelings. Soon, these feelings seem to the person that this is all there will be to their life, only suffering and pain. But, others can tactfully lessen this burden for them if they are allowed to. Of course, this requires love, true commitment, time, and trust..things that are often sorely lacking. Strive to be that support for someone in your life who may be suffering in silence.
