Every so often I'll look at one of my photographs and think to myself, that one would be really cool if I.... My "Caladium Color" image is one of those that got my imagination going. I very much like the color, detail and texture in the original. So, I decided to build on those attributes, and through a series of digital manipulations, I came up with "Electrocaladium." I went for a somewhat surreal, dreamlike look for this one, all done up in a painterly look, with colors deeply saturated, shadows darkened and textures accentuated. The big leaf looks as if it has been plugged in and turned on....
