Edge is a photo-based abstract, created through a multi-step process of digital filtering. It features rich, saturated color, highlighted by a very vibrant blue, contrasting with deep shadows and accents of teal and rusty brown. It's moody, but not gloomy.... intense, but not jarring.
Remember that you're looking at a rather small-scale rendering.... textures will become more pronounced as the image size increases. Scroll over the image and use the loupe tool to get a high-definition larger scale look at texture and detail.
