Dust Bath
Artist
Priscilla Burgers
Medium

Description
Image is a burro enjoying a dust bath while several other burros watch. These burros are direct descendants from those that the Gold Miners brought into the area as pack animals. As a result of the coming of World War Two, the gold mines surrounding Oatman and Gold Roads, Arizona were shut down and the burros were set free to roam the hills. Where there are many wild burros of several herds that reside in the hills surrounding Oatman, there are about a dozen burros that come into town regularly.
