Description
I shot this print on state route 39 the other day and in this print is a cart with 3 Amish males riding down the road with a trotter horse and to there right in the field are 4 draft horses and another Amish guy who is walking the draft horses down to the plow. This is the time when you will see the Amish out plowing the fields getting them ready to plant. Amish do not use huge tractors to plow with like the English do. The Amish believe in doing everything by hand or with the draft horses. The Amish will tell you a large tractor is the lazy mans way of doing things and it's very costly. The Amish will also tell you that when the English use huge tractors to plow and plant with that they also have to use this huge tractors to harvest everything that is grown and that is why the price of produce and vegetables are so expensive. An Amish farmer told me once if everyone lived the simple way then prices would not be so expensive at the grocery stores..
