Title
Dr. Lines Gate - Nola
Artist
Kathleen K Parker
Medium
Photograph - Photography/digital Art
Description
A very old combo of cast and wrought iron gate with the name Dr. Lines on a ribbon like strip attached to the upper center guards the entrance to this property in the Faubourg Marigny area of New Orleans,LA. Texture has been added. Behind the gate are a passageway, buildings, steps and stoop, weeds, and plants. The posts on each side are cast iron (made with a mold), and the straight bars are wrought iron. The Dr. Lines strip is cast iron; I am fairly certain.

Romantic allure with the shapes and coloring. A beautiful New Orleans love story happened right here.

The gate makes one wonder what is inside? And how appropriate the gate announces all the lines and angles in this image...
