Description
Diuris carinata, commonly known as the tall bee orchid, is a species of orchid that is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. It has between four and six leaves and up to seven large, bright yellow flowers with reddish-brown markings.
A tall bee orchid 500-800mm high with two to three basal leaves 150-200mm long and up to seven yellow and brown flowers 20-30mm across with broad petals, a tapering dorsal sepal, narrow forward projecting lateral sepals and a tri-lobed labellum with small spreading lateral lobes and an elongated convex mid-lobe.
