Crossing The Sky Rays was taken while crossing the skyway. Getting out of the car was not an option.The Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge, known as the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, spans Tampa Bay, Florida, with a cable-stayed main span. It is 21,877 feet long.
Side note: When the Sunshine Skyway Bridge was built connecting St. Petersburg with Sarasota, the old bridge was turned into the world's longest fishing pier. Anglers park their cars or campers by their favorite fishing spot. The bridge is lit at night, so fishermen can see to rig a line, bait the hook, and inspect their catch. The light also attracts many species of fish after sundown. .
