This photo was taken in New Sweden, Maine. From the time I saw this cow moose till this shot was about 51 minutes, but definitely worth the wait. It took that long to walk 150 feet, but she never spooked and ran away, which is a very important factor for me when getting moose photographs. It can be very tiring for them to move through the snow, so I try not to make them run.
