Description
One writer included the Charming Creek hike on the South Island of New Zealand as part of a blog entitled ‘Walks for Wimps’. But in New Zealand, you can get plenty of bang for the buck on an easy 5 min walk to a waterfall from the highway as from a strenuous multi-day walk! The Charming Creek walk absolutely does not require much in the way of fitness and in a 2-3 hr walk you get some history and scenery rolled into one. This section of the walk passes through the Ngakawau Gorge with steep bluffs and the river cascading around immense boulders in the riverbed.
