Description
I was on my way to Cana Island Lighthouse on a snowy winter day when I passed by this cemetery at a church in Bailey's Harbor WI. Old cemeteries are fascinating and picturesque, but I kept driving...for maybe a quarter mile. Then I was compelled to turn around and come back! It was all quite pretty under a fresh, and still accumulating, blanket of snow. I didn't want to disturb the soft snow to see how old it was, so I just admired it from the periphery!

Looks late 19 th century by the stone. Up north it' generall slate until the end of the 18th century, limestone in the 19 th and then it's mostly granite. Beautiful snowy day shot.
