Casino Pilings At Cape Charles Virginia

Description
These old pilings at one time, over a century ago, supported a large wharf that houses a casino on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay at Cape Charles, Virginia. Some folks say it is a rumor but there does exist a picture (c. 1930) of the dining room of the "Beach Casino" at Cape Charles. Said image is maintained by the Cape Charles Historical Society.
Meanwhile, we can just imagine "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" in a time gone past while enjoying a beautiful views of the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The requisite cargo ships cruise on by at the horizon heading toward the Port of Baltimore or other places along the bay. The seagulls (most likely common gulls) on the old pilings sure seem to be enjoying the sunshine on this beautiful sunny afternoon.
