Description
I have many of these left over from my days as an amateur rock climber. I thought they would make a nice addition to my gallery of mundane items. This is painted with a combination of Winsor and Newton watercolor paint and 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# paper.

Thanks Arie! I haven't rock-climbed in quite a while so it was nice to find a use for some of my old gear!

I like the subtlety and softness in this piece. The contrast between the actual objects and your portrayal of them is amazing. Interesting composition. Cheers from Arizona.
