Description
This was a very lucky shot for me. The Canada Lily is a wild flower that grows between three to six feet. This particular group of Canada Lilies were only about three feet tall, so I had to scooch underneath the plants with the sun blaring in my eyes, hoping that the delicate petals of the flowers blocked the sun. They did their job for me and I ended up with a lovely photograph. I feel lucky indeed. I have never seen a Canada Lily before, but was fortunate to see this flock at Sieur de Monts garden in Acadia National Park, located on the island of Mount Desert Island Maine.
This is the digitally altered photograph. I used the program Foto Sketcher to change the original Canada Lily to an oil pastel.
