Story behind this picture. When I was 16 I went to California not wanting to return and when I was their I seen the ocean for the first time and also a purple starfish. I tried to take it with me, I thought it would survive but it didn't. I never should have took the starfish. I accidentally killed the starfish.
Why I painted this or created this art? I really have no words for why I do art but I will say this, I, as the artist, would like you to make your own opinion about my art. I can say I know the reason I paint something and sometimes it is out of heartache, greaf, anger, regrets, and love. My description will be the same no matter how I try and change it. It took me over a year to write this simple description, and think about why I do art. I enjoy art and hope you enjoy my art as well. Amber Waltmann
