Totally EXPRESSIONISTIC and Spontaneous. I saw this girl out in the pasture across from our place on my way to walk Lucky dog. She stood longingly and rather surprised. When I saw her with the wind blowing behind her head pushing the hair straight up…. It made me laugh and think of the hair styles created with Brill Crème!!!!
In painting her, the trick was to become very free and loose with my pallet knife. The challenge was not to overwork and make into a perfect animal. The paint is very thickly applied paint and done with an impressionistic style. My aim is to allow the on looker to create their own interpretation.
