Description

Brant Point Light is a lighthouse located on Nantucket Island off the coast of Cape Cod. The station was established in 1746, automated in 1965, and is still in operation. Brant Point Lighthouse is under the purview of the Coast Guard and is the latest of many that have been erected there. Nantucket lies about 30 miles south of Cape Cod and is a popular tourist destination in the summer months. It was a whaling community originally and the cobblestone streets were created from ballast from those whaling ships. Many of the old, historic homes feature �widow�s walks� where the whalers� wives could have a high vantage point to watch for their men to come home from the sea.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
