A Maryland Award winning photo - 2nd Place at the 2019 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair in Gaithersburg, MD. My very first photography award. Won second place in the "b&w landscape" division. It was a pleasure and honor to have my work exhibited for all "MoCo (Montgomery County) Fair Attendees" to see. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement.
This landscape nature scene was taken downtown Washington DC during the Kite Festival. I was sitting on a bench waiting for hubby. Directly across the walking path from me, on what we call the "mall," were these amazing trees and their branches. This is the spectacular scene I observed and found myself in a dreamy peaceful state. It was the curves and shapes that grabbed me. It was so cool, I had to get it on camera and share with you. A big huge thank you to the photography judges at the very popular and famous Montgomery County Agricultural Fair that takes place in Gaithersburg at the Fairgrounds every year. As a first-time participant in the Photography Contest, I was blessed to receive a ribbon for TWO of my four submissions. This one called "Branching Out" won 2nd place in the b&w landscape category. I am beyond thrilled for this achievement. Thanks to all on FAA and those that support, mentor me, and encourage me in my photography endeavors, I am so blessed and truly grateful to each of you!
