A wonderful boat tour on one of Strasbourg, France's beautiful canals.

I captured this canal scene from a bridge. This was similar to the boat my group and I had the pleasure of experiencing while seeing various parts of town. Our boat was open top. This breathtaking canal and neighborhood lview is of The III, otherwise known as River III in Strasbourg, France. This boat tour is a great educational and fun activity to do with the entire family.

The River III runs through the city of Strasbourg. It passes through a series of locks and channels in what I experienced as one of the most picturesque scenes an old town has to offer. Scenes include the Petite France quarter, where its waters were once used to power mills and tanneries. One of these channels is the Canal du Faux-Rempart that, together with the main channel of the Ill, surrounds the Grande Île or historic centre of Strasbourg. Oh my gosh, absolutely stunning!

I hope to return back to this town to see more both by foot and boat. It is rich in history and as I said earlier, breathtaking views. I definately recommend a full day or two here with the family or loved one. Emmy Vickers,
