Description
I set up an environment in order to capture water dropping into a basin. I wanted to capture the drops on their way down and the actual splash in the same shot. I used to be a veterinary technician, so I had access to syringes and used them to eject individual drops of water. Here, after hundreds of photographs, I was able to catch the drops en route to the body of water and an actual splash simultaneously. I really like the detail here, as I have quite an attraction to water and its behavior in its different forms. Water behaves as its own entity, taking on fantastic shapes to study.

Thank you for the kind comments, everyone! I love working with water in controlled (well, in uncontrolled too!) environments. Being able to "freeze" the drops falling and capturing the splash is quite challenging. This image is the result of hundreds of shot taken.
