I found this magnificent beast grazing alongside the road in the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County, California.
Santa Yenz is just north of Santa Barbara and it becoming well know as one of the great wine producing areas of the world. It is also where the movie Sideways was filmed.
That area is well known for its thoroughbred horses and has produced many champions race horses.
Probably less know for cattle ranching but it is still a huge industry in the area and was the home of Ray Kroc's (of McDonald's fame) Hamburger University. The university was at one time a large working cattle ranch where McDonald's trained people involved in all aspects of owning and running a McDonald's franchise.
