Aww, this is a very moving image, Jim!! Yes, I thought it was sad at first, but I was happy to read your description saying that this horse is well cared for. But you are right....are any animals really happy being confined? And you're also right that many would not survive if left on their own. Beautiful, powerful image!!! :)))vf

Wow what an emotive image!! you definitely captured the soul of the animal through its eye, looking at the outside world behind bars… reflecting on its life, wondering why it come all the way to this planet to be locked behind this unnatural environment… my heart ache for its deep thoughts… what a wonderful image, very deep and thought provoking!! He might be sad? Could be! Many animals are much more intelligent than we are. Horses are not one of them. Pigs have 130 IQ scores! Lovely and beautiful as can be. FAV!

This picture and the review you wrote about it, are both thought provoking..I do wish all animals were treated like they deserve to be treated and well taken care of. We must try to provide both, freedom and treat them with love, i am against keeping them in zoos, behind bars, and chained, this is the greatest sin of humanity, taking advantage of the power we have over them. Beautiful capture! it moves me deeply. keep up with the great work!

Jim Cook replied:

Thank you for your thoughtful comments of which I fully agree.
