Description
I took this photo of a nest of swallow chicks nearly ready to fly several years ago. Our barn in West Michigan is filled with swallow nests, and we have a quite large flock that returns here for nesting each year in early April. They do such a great job of keeping our barn, yard, and pastures free of many pesky flies and mosquitos, it's quite amazing!

Thanks, Laurel! You're enough further south that your little beauties are home for the summer. We won't see any here until early to mid-April, so a couple of weeks to go. Do you know that these TINY little birds fly way down into the southern regions of South America for the winter?! Thousands of miles!

Glad you like my little swallow chicks, Lil - I really appreciate it; I love the sweet little chicks every summer in my barn. And, yes, pinning is fun and, I hope, it brings traffic to the artists' work. I try to pin really excellent (in my opinion, LOL!) works on my board, not just "anything that fits the topic". I am gaining more and more followers every day. It's fun to see what people like, and I enjoy promoting FFA and Etsy artists on my boards. I also have some boards that are things I'm interested in, but I put FAA stuff on my major art boards.
