Description
The old barn at Sky Meadows State Park (Delaplane, Virginia, USA) is really pretty utilitarian, but like most buildings designed for a job and showing signs of years of use and exposure, it has a certain character that I find appealing. The weathered metal roof is its most striking feature, and this angle shows it to full advantage. I added a painterly textured finish to this version of this image, warmed the colors just a little, and topped it with just a touch of "grunge" for a slightly worn vintage look that seems to suit the old barn well.
