This beautiful early autumn photograph of the Grand Union Canal was taken downstream from Leighton lock, no. 23, just outside of Leighton Buzzard town, England. It is a very pleasant walk along the towpath and it takes just a few minutes to leave the town behind and escape into the countryside.There are many picturesque views along the canal and even this time of year there are still quite a few pleasure boats to be seen travelling along this man-made waterway.
