Chicago - Art Deco Sunflower
This art deco sunflower can be found at the entrance of the 1928 Chicago Motor Club Building. For years I used to walk by this building while it sat empty and wondered if this art deco treasure would be restored. You could peek in the front doors and catch just a glimpse of some of the deco details in the main lobby. So glad they restored this building and reopened it back in 2015 and kept all of the deco charms. The map of the United States from 1928 painted on the wall is a must-see.
All proceeds will be donated to Chicago's Cornerstone Community Outreach in honor of photographer Richard Cleis, 1965-2021.
