Description
At the temple of Ta Prohm in Angkor Wat, these Strangler Fig trees (Giant Banyans) squeeze hard onto the antiquities. As the structures are made from a sandstone-based rock the tree roots are able to extract water from the porous stones.
It's a marvel that the structures are able to withstand the punishment - shows how well built they were all those centuries ago!
