Description
The beautifully exotic Flamingo was once seen by the thousands in South Florida. By the late 1800s they were eradicated due to feather and egg harvesting. In recent years sightings of flocks of Flamingos has increased and it has now been established that there are native birds living in Florida!
I recently visited Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and spent a much of my time watching the beautiful Flamingos. It was early morning and I loved the way the sunbeams made their way through the shade of the big old oak trees to highlight the animals in the park.
