State College of Florida Venice campus has a beautiful nature trail available to the public for running, walking, of biking around a large lake. Water fowl and birds frequent the area, as do alligators. The residents are always warned, "If there is a body of water, always assume there are gators." The winding path that borders the wetlands is definitely designed to make you slow down and enjoy the journey. Benches along the walk afford ample opportunity to sit, relax and enjoy the water life.
