Beautiful African Penguins at Mystic Aquarium. These wonderful creatures are, unfortunatly, on the The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species. (ICUN). Mystic Aquarium is involved in sending a trainer to work with the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds, resucing, rehabilitating and releasing of abandoned chicks. They are found only in Africa and right now are critically endangered.
Although I am not a fan of keeping animals in an unnatural habitat, sometimes it is necessary to turn around the devistation we have wreaked on them.
These African Penguins are now safe, due to the efforts of Mystic Aquarium!
