Description
This beautiful white lily flower has already opened, while blossoms around it are either just beginning to bloom, or are still in the bud stage. Anthers colored with deep purple pollen surround the the pistil, part of the female organs of the flower. Atop it sits the stigma. This is both a close-up and a macro shot of the flower, something I am proud of.
I started photographing flowers a few years ago while walking around a pond near my home. I became taken with them. When the winter came, I bought flowers and began to photograph them in my kitchen in a makeshift 'studio'. That way I could indulge my passion for shooting them year round. I hope you like those you see here.
