I'm enjoying your color gallery, very cool. This one has not so subtle colors of plum, indigo, silver and white but the mind tries to interpret the colors differently because of the subject. I always find that fascinating in composition.

Did not know they were forks for a few seconds. I thought it was an ornamental fence or something. Very clever photograph v

Upon seeiing this the deep purple silk liner, the forks where in a very beautiful wooden box, I am certain it was european.,

I was once told how dare I enter this photo for critique and my response was....it has a urban quality to it, he forks and isn't advertising a form of creative photography and I submitted it drew so much attention. And this particular photo was with a throw away Kodak disposable camera.. I held it right up to the glass the lighting from the street was perfect. It was in a vert prestigious antique store on Royal Street in the French Quarter

Michael the background makes this mess with my mind and adds so much interest. I looked for a long time to be sure that the forks on the outer ends were actually larger than the ones in the middle. Salad forks in the middle? Very interesting image.

Michael Hoard replied:

This display received my attention as well, the handles were mother of pearl very elegant dinner ware
