These small pink flowers bloom abundantly in small and beautiful bunches all spring and summer long at the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The blossoms with their long petals are so close together that they almost form a bouquet all by themselves. I can Imagine a bride throwing this natural bouquet in the air to expectant girls. I love the excited, yet calming feeling the provoke in me. The long skinny style which end in the tiny dark purple anthers are particularly interesting and beautiful, giving the flowers an extra bit extra texture.
Sadly, I forgot to record the name of these pretty flowers at the Gardens.
This photo was taken with a Nikon macro, or close-up lens which I recently bought.
