Description
I'm a Firefighter and have painted firefighters in action for close to 20 years. When I saw the World Trade Center on 9/11 I knew there were going to be a high number of fatalities, including firefighters. At the end of that horrible Tuesday, there were countless lives that would change forever. I know many New York firefighters, including my brother, that lost friends and co-workers that day. I attended the funerals of the firefighters I did know and many more I didn't. I had to paint something. I wanted it to be simple but powerful enough to make a lasting impression. Like the impression left by the firefighters climbing the WTC to make complete the largest rescues
in US history. That is why I painted A New York City firefighters helmet place on an American Flag. I don't think I need to say anymore except, NEVER FORGET!

I purchased a a shower curtain with the American flag and fire hat with badge number and the image on the shower curtain looked nothing like the picture and the colors ran into the white. I was very disappointed since it was a Christmas present for my son who is a firefighter. I just return them but your artwork is very beautiful.

Hi Paul. Thanks for the post on my site. I am new to the sight but like you have been painting and drawing since I could hold a pencil. Your work is inspiring. I visited the World Trade Center site a year following the disaster...Such a moving experience! You've captured it well! Thank you and may God Bless!
